DNV assists its customers in identifying, assessing, and managing their most critical risks, thereby enhancing their business performance. DNV evaluates and advises on safety, quality, technology, business, and sustainability aspects, certifies or verifies compliance, and drives the establishment of new standards, best practices, and digital ecosystems.
This is achieved through DNV’s six Business Areas: Maritime, Energy Systems, Business Assurance, Supply Chain and Product Assurance, Accelerator, and Digital Solutions.
Group Research and Development (GRD) contributes to positioning DNV at the forefront, and to staying relevant and competitive by identifying, exploring, and developing new opportunities to create value for stakeholders, also beyond the present strategy period and business activities.
DNV is a partner in the MAGNO project with the Sustainable Food Systems and Supply Chains team in GRD and its main contributions are:

- Shape circular strategies for stakeholders and set the basis for future market and business developments
- Explore and analyze novel storage solutions for packers, warehouses, and retailers
