In the last session, held on February 27, Thomas McDonald from the University of Manchester presented his webinar, “Data-driven analysis of HDPE post-consumer recyclate for sustainable bottle packaging.” His approach, using FTIR, TGA, and other mechanical testing methods, enables the selection of high-quality recycled HDPE that closely matches virgin plastic, ensuring better performance in sustainable packaging. You can find the whole webinar here.
Upcoming sessions will cover topics like “Optimizing Decision-Making in the Cannabis Industry Using Life Cycle Assessment” , “Enabling Role of Support Flows in Circular Supply Chain Design” and “The convenience economy: Product flows and GHG emissions of returned apparel.”
