MAGNO EU: First Online Workshop on Laying the Groundwork for Sustainable Food Packaging
June 30 @ 10:00 - 11:30
On June 30th, the MAGNO Project will host its first online workshop, led by project partner Holoss, and dedicated to advancing circular practices in the food packaging sector. Following the successful presential session held on May 27th, this online event will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders to reflect on lessons learned, present ongoing work, and promote sustainable and collaborative solutions across the packaging value chain.
A Community-Based Circular Economy in Action
This workshop will feature contributions from six key entities in the region of Monção that bring unique insights and responsibilities to the table:
- Senior University of Monção
- Baú da Zuza
- Câmara Municipal de Monção
- Valorminho
- Sirplaste
- ONG ZERO
Together, these entities will represent different stages of the circular economy, illustrating how materials and resources can be repurposed, regenerated, and reintegrated into the system rather than discarded. Their combined efforts show that circularity is not only achievable — it’s already underway at the local level.
What to Expect
The online session will revisit and expand on the insights from the May 27th presential workshop, focusing on exploring the findings and results from the presential workshop (held on May 27th), analyze product lifecycles, and discover how circular economy models can transform packaging practices.
