INSTM Workshop on Plastic Packaging Waste (PPW) Ecosystem Impact Assessment
On 22 January 2026, the MAGNO project will host a workshop on Plastic Packaging Waste (PPW) Ecosystem Impact Assessment, organised by one of its project partners and held at the Institut National des Sciences et Technologies de la Mer (I.N.S.T.M), Salammbô.
The workshop will bring together researchers, policy experts and practitioners to examine how plastic packaging waste impacts marine ecosystems and human health, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean context. Discussions will explore how these impacts can be more effectively assessed through scientific evidence, policy frameworks and quantitative indicators.
Through expert presentations and moderated group discussions, the event aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and support more informed and coordinated approaches to reducing plastic pollution.
