Polymers 2026: From Sustainability to Smart Systems
April 8 @ 08:00 – April 10 @ 17:00
From 8 to 10 April 2026, the international conference Polymers 2026: From Sustainability to Smart Systems will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, bringing together researchers, academics and industry professionals working in the field of polymer science.
The event will cover a wide range of topics, including polymer design and synthesis, processing technologies, smart and functional materials, and applications in areas such as health, energy and the environment. Particular attention will be given to sustainable and circular approaches, including bio-based materials, advanced manufacturing techniques and the integration of digital tools such as artificial intelligence.
As part of the conference, a joint workshop involving several EU-funded projects (ViSS, PHAntastic and ANIPH) will focus on the development of safe and sustainable bio-based polymers, addressing the full value chain from material design to end-of-life within circular systems.
Polymers 2026 will run alongside Composites 2026 and 3Bs Materials Tech 2026, offering a broader platform for knowledge exchange, networking and collaboration across related fields.
