Bio4Pack Webinar: Digital Tools for Building Trust

The Bio4Pack cluster, bringing together the ViSS, MAGNO, REBIOLUTION and STOPP projects, is organising a free online webinar on Digital Tools for Building Trust.
The session will explore how digital solutions can contribute to greater transparency and trust in plastics and packaging, with a particular focus on the Digital Product Passport (DPP).
During the webinar, DATA4CIRC will present its work on innovative digital tools and discuss how Digital Product Passports can support access to relevant product information and contribute to more transparent and circular value chains.

The Bio4Pack webinar “Digital Tools for Building Trust” brought together MAGNO, ViSS and DATA4CIRC to explore how different digital solutions can help build trust and support more circular packaging value chains.
Representing MAGNO, Alejandra Pita introduced Digital Twins and their applications for circular packaging, showing how the MAGNO Ecosystem Digital Twin connects different stages of the packaging lifecycle and allows users to test scenarios and compare material, energy, functional and environmental outcomes.
From ViSS, Jaime Ortiz presented the project’s digital platform and some of the challenges that need to be addressed to build trust across the value chain, including isolated data systems, lack of standardisation and concerns around sharing sensitive information.
Finally, Andrés Arias from DATA4CIRC explored Digital Product Passports and federated Data Spaces, looking at the role of data, traceability and secure information sharing in circular value chains.
The presentations led to an active discussion with participants around the practical adoption of these technologies, including questions on bringing digital tools to market and understanding the differences between different approaches to managing and sharing data.
One message connected the different perspectives throughout the session: circularity depends on trust, and digitalisation can help create that trust when data is traceable, interoperable and securely shared.
