SUMMARY:Polymers 2026: From Sustainability to Smart Systems
DESCRIPTION:From 8 to 10 April 2026\, the international conference Polymers 2026: From Sustainability to Smart Systems will take place in Lisbon\, Portugal\, bringing together researchers\, academics and industry professionals working in the field of polymer science. \n\n\n\nThe event will cover a wide range of topics\, including polymer design and synthesis\, processing technologies\, smart and functional materials\, and applications in areas such as health\, energy and the environment. Particular attention will be given to sustainable and circular approaches\, including bio-based materials\, advanced manufacturing techniques and the integration of digital tools such as artificial intelligence. \n\n\n\nAs part of the conference\, a joint workshop involving several EU-funded projects (ViSS\, PHAntastic and ANIPH) will focus on the development of safe and sustainable bio-based polymers\, addressing the full value chain from material design to end-of-life within circular systems. \n\n\n\nPolymers 2026 will run alongside Composites 2026 and 3Bs Materials Tech 2026\, offering a broader platform for knowledge exchange\, networking and collaboration across related fields. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nhttps://setcor.org/conferences/polymers-2026

SUMMARY:Second Webinar in the ANIPH & MAGICBIOMAT Series: AI Meets Biodegradation
DESCRIPTION:On 21 April 2026\, the projects ANIPH and MAGICBIOMAT will host the second session of their joint webinar series. \n\n\n\nTitled “AI Meets Biodegradation: Digital Tools for Smarter Bio-based Materials”\, the webinar will explore how artificial intelligence and data modelling are helping to design and optimise circular bio-based materials. \n\n\n\nThe session will focus on how digital tools can improve biodegradation pathways\, material performance and value chain transparency\, supporting more sustainable polymer systems. \n\n\n\nSpeakers\n\n\n\n\nJessica N. Lalonde (Los Alamos National Laboratory)\n\n\n\nMarharyta Domnich (Digiotouch)\n\n\n\nMarianna Kotzabasaki (AUA)\n\n\n\n\nModerated by Golnoosh Abdeali (TUS). \n\n\n\nThis webinar continues a collaborative series aimed at advancing innovation at the intersection of digital technologies and sustainable materials. \n\n\n\nMore information: https://aniph.eu/event/aniph-and-magicbiomat-announce-the-second-appointment-of-their-joint-webinar-series/

SUMMARY:The ECESP Annual Conference 2026
DESCRIPTION:MAGNO at the ECESP Annual Conference 2026: Advancing a Competitive and Fair Circular Europe \n\n\n\nThe MAGNO project will be represented at the upcoming ECESP Annual Conference 2026\, one of the key European events shaping the future of the circular economy. \n\n\n\nThe conference\, titled “A competitive and fair circular Europe: The ambition at the heart of the single market”\, will bring together policymakers\, industry leaders\, researchers\, financial actors and civil society to discuss the next steps in Europe’s transition towards circularity. \n\n\n\nA key moment for EU circular economy policy\n\n\n\nThe event takes place at a crucial time\, as the European Union prepares the Circular Economy Act (CEA)\, expected to become a cornerstone of the EU’s circular economy framework. The Act aims to strengthen the Single Market for circular products and services while addressing fragmentation and scaling up sustainable solutions across Europe. \n\n\n\nDiscussions will also connect the CEA with broader initiatives such as the EU Bioeconomy Strategy\, as well as the financial\, regulatory and societal conditions needed to enable a truly circular and competitive economy. \n\n\n\nMAGNO’s participation\n\n\n\nMAGNO will be represented at the conference by Dr. Alejandra Pita Milleiro (IDENER)\, who will attend in representation of the project. \n\n\n\nHer participation will contribute to ongoing discussions around sustainable packaging\, circular value chains and the role of innovation and data-driven approaches in supporting systemic change. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nLink to the official website of the event: https://circulareconomy.europa.eu/platform/en/ecesp-annual-conference-2026-competitive-and-fair-circular-europe-ambition-heart-single-market
